Legend has it that Luang Phor Suan has lived for an extremely long time. An elderly devotee stated that he had heard his father frequently talk about Luang Phor Suan since he was very young, and his grandfather had even witnessed Luang Phor Suan teaching. This devotee's grandfather passed away at over 90 years old, his father lived to be over 80, and he himself is over 70. Three generations spanning over 100 years, yet Luang Phor Suan is still alive and well. It's truly unimaginable how old he actually is. It may be hard to believe, but according to folklore, he is at least 300 years old, possibly even 500.

Legend has it that Luang Phor Suang had lived for a very long time. When a devotee asked about his name and age, the master replied, "This humble monk has long forgotten his own name, and can't even remember how old he is. This humble monk seems to have lived for a very long time; it's time to return to his hometown." The devotee asked which temple he lived in. The master answered, "I have no temple. I use the sky as my blanket and the earth as my mat. The entire universe is my home. This old monk doesn't live in temples; he usually prefers to stay in a small wooden hut in the rice paddies, sometimes for several days or even months." The old monk's whereabouts are elusive; he appears frequently, sometimes once every two months, and occasionally disappears for two or three years. He truly comes and goes without a trace.

The master's attire was also peculiar. Sometimes he wore a full robe, sometimes half robe and half white, sometimes all white, and sometimes just a white cloth wrapped around his neck, with no clothes on his upper body. His appearances were constantly changing. Luang Phor Suan's whereabouts were also quite elusive; sometimes he would appear every few months, sometimes he would disappear for two or three years, then suddenly reappear, always vanishing without a trace. Despite this, Luang Phor Suan still had many followers in northeastern Thailand. People became very interested in him after learning about his mystique, and many wanted to visit him. Some even called him a "living deity."

In fact, Luang Phor Suan was somewhat like the legendary monk Ji Gong (a famous Chinese monk known for his eccentricities). He liked to live in rice paddies and often used straw to make fires for warmth. Strangely, if devotees saw him warming himself by the fire and offered him clothing or money, Luang Phor Suan would simply throw the offerings into the fire. After learning of this habit, no one offered him clothing anymore, as everyone knew it would just turn to ashes. However, some people speculate that this might be because Luang Phor Suan primarily practiced fire-related magic, and placing items in the fire might allow them to manifest elsewhere (the same method used by Luang Phor Oppa Sin). Luang Phor Suan was an elusive and mysterious monk; to see him required a certain amount of good fortune and karmic connection. Once, a devotee went to see Luang Phor Suang at a temple offering ceremony. He handed the master some cash, which the master immediately threw into the fire. The devotee watched silently, not daring to make a sound. After a while, a partially burned banknote floated out of the fire, with three numbers still visible. The devotee interpreted this as guidance from the master, so he bought a lottery ticket using those three numbers and won a huge prize, becoming incredibly wealthy. After receiving the prize money, the devotee went to see Luang Phor Suang again, bringing a lot of food to thank the master. However, Luang Phor Suang had already disappeared. This story earned Luang Phor Suang the title of "The Wealth-Giving Monk."

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0513/3051/5112/products/EE25599C-8926-469B-AB4F-93D9BAB295E5.jpg?v=1664268555
https://www.sumyukokhk.com/en/products/%e9%be%8d%e5%a9%86%e7%88%bd-%e7%b4%80%e5%bf%b5-%e7%89%8c-63%e5%b9%b4-%e5%9e%8b%e8%99%9f%e0%b8%a3%e0%b8%b8%e0%b9%88%e0%b8%99%e0%b8%9b%e0%b8%a5%e0%b8%94%e0%b8%ab%e0%b8%99%e0%b8%b5%e0%b9%89
