Sharing my experience of worshipping gods
Our shop has been open for nearly ten years. In addition to providing a considerable number of authentic amulets and sacred objects from Thai temples, we would like to introduce to all devotees the eight altars set up in the shop.
The eight major altars include two Buddhist altars (one enshrining Buddha and an image of Ajahn Toh), an altar for the God of Love, Lersi, Kuman Thong, the Thai Land God, and Rahu.
Worship rituals are a very good way to connect with divine power and a process of dialogue with the divine and with oneself. Remember, whether worshipping or offering sacred objects, it's all about providing assistance. One must first have clear desires/goals, faith in the divine, and then continuously strive for self-improvement 💪🏻 to achieve their goals and achieve twice the results with half the effort 🙌🏻
To achieve the best results from worshipping gods, here are a few methods and points to consider:
1️⃣ Please take off your shoes and hat before worshipping the gods, and wash and dry your hands before offering incense.
2️⃣ When worshipping Thai Buddhas and deities, you need to kneel down in front of the altar 🚼🛐 to show respect to the deities. It also serves as a self-reminder to have a respectful heart when worshipping the gods 💓 (Those who have health problems/are too old to kneel can avoid this, as the deities are not petty or bothered; just maintain a respectful heart when worshipping).
3️⃣ When praying to the gods and making wishes, first recite the first Buddhist scripture three times, then introduce yourself, and then state your wish. It is best to speak your wish aloud , because the gods will more easily receive your message and wish (imagine many believers silently reciting their wishes in their hearts; compared to that, if one believer speaks aloud, it will be easier to attract the gods).
4️⃣ Please state your wish in a definitive sentence 🗣️ (the clearer and more detailed your wish, the better) . Try to avoid constantly complaining to the divine, because whether it's encouragement, praise, or complaints and criticism, these are all forms of mental power 🙏🏻. In fact, the divine world communicates through thoughts. What kind of thoughts you project onto them will ultimately return to us. If you keep complaining to the divine, it's like constantly telling yourself that you will be forever trapped in a cycle of complaining! For example, don't pick up incense and keep telling the divine about being poor. You should clearly state how you want the divine to increase your wealth, such as having a smooth job 🍀, making money through investments 💰💰, finding a side job to increase income, etc.
Order of worship and incense offering: Buddhist altar ➡️ God
Buddhist altar ➡️ Ajahn Toh's sacred altar ➡️ Divine altar ➡️ Love God ➡️ Lersi ➡️ Kumanthong ➡️ Thai Land God ➡️ Rahu God
⭐️Worshiping gods helps us find a way out and understand what we truly desire, not it's about fulfilling our dreams on our behalf!
Therefore, you must clearly understand your own heart and thoughts, what kind of life you want to pursue, before praying to the gods, strengthening your faith, and persevering in your efforts to improve, striving to achieve your wishes as soon as possible . When the gods grant a believer's request, what they want is not incense or offerings, but rather that the believer receives what they desire, feels gratitude, and subsequently vows to do more good deeds or spread Buddhism .
Whether you are a supporter of karma or believe in any religion or deity, there is actually no conflict with Thai Buddhism and its associated sacred objects. This is because the ultimate goal of Thai Buddhism is to guide people towards goodness, encouraging believers to diligently uphold precepts, be good people, do good deeds, speak kind words, and care for others. May you cultivate good karma. ❤️
Remember, deities help people not merely to receive incense or offerings, but primarily to encourage good deeds. When worshipping, try making a vow to give back to society in exchange for the deities' blessings; you might be surprised by the results. 😊😉
Sutras and mantras embody the spirit of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas; reciting sutras and mantras is to remember the call of the divine vows. ❤️ Therefore, it is recommended that believers recite the Buddha's First Sutra three times before worshipping at any shrine.
Whether it is an Eastern or Western deity, every orthodox deity is a manifestation of a vow. If you want to connect with the deity's vow through worship, do not rush to leave after you have finished offering incense. Stand in front of the deity, calm your mind, and feel their power. The tranquility of a mind free of distractions is the greatest source of connecting with the deity's vow.
Please don't rush to leave after praying to the gods. Try to calm your mind and feel the power of the gods, and connect with their will.❣️
