legend of elephants

The elephant god is the son of the three major Hindu gods Shiva and his wife, Parvati, the goddess of Gali . There are different versions of Ganesha's life in different stories, but one of the most popular is that Parvati, the goddess of Gali, was tired of Shiva asking her to go for a walk. When she was taking a bath, so she pinched a son with soap scum and gave him life.

One day, before taking a bath, the goddess Gali ordered her son to be a guardian outside the house. On the same day, Shiva, the father of the elephant god, came back from fighting and found a man outside the house that he had never met. Shiva thought that something happened in the family, and in a fit of rage, he fought with the elephant god. Of course, the elephant god was not an opponent of Shiva and could not resist, and finally his head was cut off by Shiva. Goddess Gali heard the sound of fierce fighting outside the house, and at the same time heard a scream, and when she ran out to see what happened, she found that Shiva had killed the son she created.

It was only after Goddess Gali explained that Shiva realized that he had made a big mistake. Shiva felt very guilty, so he turned to Brahma (the four-faced god) for help. King Brahma told Shiva that he had to go all the way after going out, and when he met the first animal whose head was facing north, he cut off his head to replace the head of the elephant god. After Shiva went out, he kept walking, and finally found an elephant that was dying towards the north. After the elephant died, Shiva cut off his head and put it on his son's body, and the elephant was resurrected from then on. From then on, the elephant god became a bow man with a human head and a human body.
