⚜️Introduction to Sacred Objects⚜️
Guanyin originated in India, and in Thailand she is called "Me Guanyin" (咩), meaning "mother." Originally a male figure, Guanyin was transformed into a dignified and compassionate female image after being introduced to China, symbolizing mercy. Guanyin is often depicted wearing white robes, holding a willow branch, a vase, or a fish basket, and may also have a thousand arms and a thousand eyes. Guanyin is a great bodhisattva who saves all sentient beings, listening with compassion to their suffering and prayers. Whenever sentient beings suffer and cry out for help, kneeling before Guanyin, they will receive assistance.
