The back of the Somdej Buddha amulet, inscribed with the Golden Napan Chuan mantra by Ajahn Toh, is believed to protect the wearer from evil, ward off danger, improve interpersonal relationships, and bring success in all endeavors. It is said that those who wear the Somdej Buddha amulet, as long as they maintain a kind heart, will surely experience success and fulfillment in all their endeavors; however, the effectiveness varies from person to person.
Wat Rakang, the temple where Master Ajahn Toh practiced and served as abbot, is very famous in Thailand and is considered the origin of authentic Somdej amulets. The amulets made by the temple always contain a large number of old amulet fragments from the original temple and are consecrated in grand ceremonies by many high-ranking monks, making them very popular.
