The Buddha of Success is considered the most beautiful Buddha image in Thailand, and this particular batch of authentic Buddha statues was made in Khwang, Phitsanulok Province, and blessed in a grand ceremony.

A batch of amulets were successfully blessed at the temple, using molds that combined the artistry of Pak Tam Buddha molds. The sizes were similar, making them easy to match.

Phitsanulok, also known as the "City of Two Rivers," is strategically located on a north-south transportation route, with the Nam and Chu rivers flowing through it. Its main attraction is Wat Phra Si Ratana Mahathat, situated on the east bank of the Nam River on the border of Phitsanulok.

The main hall of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat houses what is widely regarded as the most beautiful Buddha image in Thailand—the Phra Chinnarat Buddha. Also known as the "Buddha of Success," the statue is made of pure gold, while the body is cast from an alloy. Its benevolent expression and sculptural style are characteristic of Sukhothai art. This Buddha image attracts numerous international tourists and Thai devotees daily. The temple also houses a collection of Buddha images from various periods, possessing significant artistic value.

Many Thai devotees deeply believe in the efficacy of the Buddha of Success (Phra Phrom), and the origin of the Buddha statue can be traced back to the Sukhothai Kingdom era. Thai historical records indicate that around 1357 AD, the King of the Chusakara Kingdom in Sukhothai greatly respected Buddhism. Reflecting on the heavy sins inflicted by the numerous killings during the kingdom's wars, he decided to rebuild Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat to alleviate his anxieties, and specifically ordered the construction of three golden Buddha statues for the temple.

The king acted on his word, quickly rebuilding the temple and commissioning five renowned monks, the best silk painters, and the best casters to create the three Buddha statues. The statues were made using a combination of five metals: gold, silver, copper, iron, and tin. However, an accident occurred during casting, and only two statues were successfully made. One failed because the five metals did not solidify; this statue is the Phra Ching Lana, now known as the "Successful Buddha."

Many devout believers in Thailand have great faith in the efficacy of the Buddha of Success. Soon after, the king ordered the casting to be completed again, and invited more experts, but the attempt failed again. The experts were baffled, so the king decided to suspend the casting. From then on, he prayed to Buddha and the heavens every day, hoping that the heavens would have mercy on him and send a deity to assist in the creation of this perfect and solemn Buddha statue.

Two years later, the king ordered the casting of the Buddha statue for the third time. The casting took place on Thursday, June 8th. The casting began very smoothly until the metal was poured into the mold. Everyone was worried that the metal would fail to solidify again and the casting would fail. At this moment, an old man in white robes suddenly appeared and voluntarily participated in the casting process. After the casting was completed, everyone sincerely chanted sutras to bless the Buddha statue. Then, the mold was slowly opened, and the Buddha statue was finally successfully cast. While everyone was admiring it, they realized that the old man in white robes who had assisted in casting the Buddha had disappeared. Some people believed that he was an incarnation of a god sent from heaven. Afterwards, the king ordered the construction of a small Buddhist temple to commemorate the old man in white robes.
