October 21st is Xie Xia Festival , which is also Buddha Day. Doing good deeds on Buddha Day will be doubled❣️
Summer Solstice วันออกพรรษา (wan ɔ̀ɔk pan sǎa) is one of the most important traditional Buddhist festivals in Thailand. It is held on November 15 of the Thai calendar every year.
At this time, the three-month summer-staying period expires, and the monks can go out normally. On this day, the common people have a grand ceremony of fasting in the temple and listen to the monks recite the Buddhist scriptures. People moved the Buddha statues out of the temple and placed them in small movable pavilions. The Buddha statue is placed with a monk's bowl. After the monks follow the Buddha statue with their hands holding the monk's bowl, the believing men and women who are sitting in line will put the alms food into the monk's bowl. The alms food mainly includes rice, dishes, glutinous rice dumplings with flour bananas and yata coconut leaf dumplings.
In addition, during the Summer Solving Festival, people will carry out almsgiving activities such as offering monks' robes, guarding summer monks' robes, and casting yellow cloth.
